Yuki Cherry Blossom® Deutzia is a groundbreaking, compact deciduous shrub that brings a carpet of delicate pink blooms to spring landscapes. As the first-ever pink 'Nikko'-type deutzia, it combines elegance, low maintenance, and high durability into a versatile groundcover.

Key Features

  • Showstopping Spring Bloom: Profuse, bell-shaped, clear-pink flowers completely cover the plant from early to late spring.
  • Vibrant Autumn Foliage: Neat green summer leaves transition into striking burgundy-purple tones in the fall for multi-season interest.
  • Low-Growing Habit: Reaches a compact height of 12 to 24 inches with an equal spread, forming a dense, neat mound.
  • Wildlife & Pest Friendly: Highly deer-resistant while actively attracting hummingbirds and beneficial pollinators.

Landscape Uses

  • Groundcover & Slopes: Excellent for mass plantings or stabilizing sunny slopes and hillsides.
  • Borders & Edging: Ideal for framing walkways, defining garden borders, or filling spaces in mixed beds.
  • Container Design: Functions as an easy-care "filler" element in patio containers and planters.

Plant Care & Specifications

  • Hardiness Zones: USDA Zones 5–8
  • Light Needs: Full Sun (6+ hours) to Part Sun (4–6 hours)
  • Water & Maintenance: Average water needs; exceptionally easy to maintain. Blooms on old wood, so pruning is rarely required, though shaping can be done immediately after spring flowering.
